CriteriaCaixa is the independent and exclusive asset management vehicle of the ”la Caixa” Foundation. The two entities are two sides of the same coin, forming a group whose main activity is to deliver and develop its social mission by effectively managing its assets.
As the Foundation’s investment vehicle, CriteriaCaixa’s goals are to generate resources to ensure its annual budget and to increase the value of its assets under management by actively managing its investment portfolio.
The dividends generated by CriteriaCaixa are reinvested in programmes that improve people’s lives and support the most vulnerable, fostering social transformation and promoting research and culture.

La Caja de Pensiones para la Vejez y de Ahorros de Cataluña y Baleares, ”la Caixa”, was founded in 1904 by the Catalan lawyer Francesc Moragas Barret, with the support of various organisations from Catalan civil society.
From the outset, the ”la Caixa” Foundation has earned a reputation for its strong social commitment and its dedication to public interest issues, both through its financial activities and its social initiatives, which finances and maintains social, educational, cultural and scientific activities.

CriteriaCaixa is committed to environmental protection. This commitment is embodied in an environmental management system certified under ISO 14001 that is fully integrated within its business and extended to all its projects.
